Part 4: Conclusion
As St. Paul University Dumaguete (SPUD) enters its 120th year, it remains steadfast in its commitment of delivering exceptional Catholic education. Founded as the first Catholic institution in Negros Oriental, SPUD continues to be inspired by the overflowing generosity of Christ, which motivates our stakeholders to uphold our vision-mission of integral formation and evangelization through Catholic education.
SPUD’s adherence to the standards set by the Commission on Higher Education and the Philippines Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges, and Universities (PAASCU) reflects our dedication to continuous development and enhancement.
The results of the Programs’ Resurvey visit last September 16-17, 2019, have provided us with valuable insights and new growth opportunities. This process has driven us to carefully consider recommendations and renew our commitment to delivering excellent instruction and holistic education to our students.
Our pursuit of quality Catholic education is sustained by the collaborative efforts of our administration, faculty, staff, and maintenance teams, as well as the active involvement of the Parents and other lay collaborators, all guided by the SPUD Vision-Mission and Paulinian Core Values.
The program’s adherence to standards is ensured through the following measures:
First, the university develops and implements policies and procedures that are practical and relevant for all stakeholders. It stays updated with changing laws and regulations to ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, aligning these efforts with the institution’s vision, mission, and core values.
Second, effective communication with all parties is maintained through meetings, dialogues, consultations, feedback, and marketing efforts. These interactions are documented and regularly updated.
Third, the university ensures that policies and procedures are consistently followed through regular internal and external monitoring. Risks are identified and addressed, and issues are resolved promptly.
Finally, the university remains steadfast in its commitment to providing the highest quality Paulinian education. We will persistently strive to achieve our vision and mission, continually working towards excellence in all our endeavors, beyond expectations.
